Construction on Tacoma Art Museum expansion and Haub Family Galleries has begun! Sellen Construction began clearing the hill next to the museum on Monday, November 4. The stairs between the museum and the federal courthouse have been removed, the front plaza has been demolished, and the base for the new Haub Family Galleries has started to take shape as the framework is building built.
There's a temporary wall in the museum's lobby so the construction team can make changes to the museum's former entrance. These walls have been decorated to give you a peek into the collection and to have fun while you’re here. Photos may be taken on a saddle to allow visitors to be a part of the landscape.
